Once upon a time there was a holy customer who wished for nothing more than the normal product. The durability of the product was reference to its quality. He was a content user. Alas, this customer ceases to exist in the present world. Today’s competitive world demands more than just a product, it thrives for brand equity. In this cynical world of now, the sacred business of net, once the repository of knowledge, is dominated by the art of decoration that defines a perfect graphic user interface. This world believes in the cliché “WaT U C is WaT U GeT”.

The importance of color in a website is evident from the fact that a whole theory in name of “Colour Theory” has been formulated into a subject and industry thrives on this concept provides employment thousands of “Web Designers” every year. There is a reason for such an extravagant praise. The website represents the company, its employees and its products. The color gives an identity to a brand. They have a message, a one-liner, which they shout in public’s eye. They provide the first impression in viewers mind.

The color chosen or the web designing should be accurate to capture the right market. Simple and sober color combinations for adult and matured customers would do what funky and bright colors do for youngsters. Similarly Generation X demands more of style and fun before they loose their pockets. Culture and nationality is a factor that defines right color combination. For example a company with green color logo is bound to see doom in China.
