Search Engine Optimization (SEO) deals with the enhancement of the ranking of a website by improving on its chances to be picked up by audiences using various keywords when searching on for example Google or Yahoo which are major search engines. The techniques used in SEO are not paid for also called organic and natural SEO methods.
